Humphrey's Restaurant and Bar has been owned and operated by the Mangelsdorf family since 1976.

Humphrey's has been open for 32 years,
and is truly a Saint Louis University Tradition.

Robert (Humphrey) Mangelsdorf and his wife Jan opened their restaurant on June 18, 1976. Humphrey was a Saint Louis University (SLU) Graduate in 1968. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity which still patronizes his restaurant and bar to this day.

Currently, the bar is managed
by Jan Mangelsdorf and her son John.
