Undoubtedly, you've probably heard about the Humphrey's Plunger. The picture to your right is one of the earliest "plunger pics". This was taken some time when plaid blazers were fashionable, meaning, a long time ago. Much like the "Humphrey's Man", there are many rumors about the origin of the famed plunger. One night in the mid 1970's, Bob "Humphrey" Mangelsdorf offered a patron who demanded a free shot on his 21st birthday a drink out of the bar's plunger. In honor of that tradition, patrons who come to the bar on their birthday are offered a free shot in a plunger they can keep. You'll be happy to know that the plungers are specially made for birthday shots, and are not the bar plungers!
